Throughout high school, I volunteered as Camera Operator, Assistant Camera, Grip, Boom Operator, Focus Puller, and Production Assistant on the movie “Too Much Life” and at Kauai Made Films.

I also worked my way up to Creative Director and Board Member of Aloha Film Festival. This entailed releasing a trailer for the festival and PR responsibilities. The movie “Too much Life” was shown at the festival.

This experience changed me to show the real side of working on an actual movie and I instantly fell in love. The burn I felt when holding the boom as still as possible during a long take and the concentration I had when pulling focus at T1.5 built character. The creativity flying when being part of a conversation with 1st Camera and the Director felt surreal.
